Work Session B has begun, with 18 volunteers in Antonito and 16 in Chama. Team Leader Don Bayer’s crew in Chama is once again working on restoration of Railway Post Office Car 054; last week, Don was in Antonito, helping with the car shelter project. Tim Bristow continues to lead the restoration of Gondola 6205 which will be used for the Cinder Bear “runs” this summer.

In Antonito, Team Leader Craig McMullen’s crew is making great progress on restoration of Cook Car 053, and Russ Hanscom’s team continues to work on the roof of the Car Shelter. Team Leader Valley Lowrance brought her paint brush and stencils to Antonito, and with team member Fred Pitroff, is stenciling nomenclature on freight cars and rolling stock. Naomi Sublett is beautifying the grounds of Antonito as well as Chama. These projects are supported by volunteers in the carpenter shop, tool and paint cars, food service car, and reporting/chronicling crews at both sites.

Lots of work is underway! Here are some photos…
