Work Session F, Fridauy August 9, 2013

Today was the last of the work session F. The next work session is G in late September, early October.

A big day for RPO 54. With the work done and Pullman green paint, it's not looking like X54 anymore. WOW!

Thats Mary Jane on the right with the straw hat on. These great ladies are part of the unsung hero's of the Friends keeping us fed in lunches so the workers can focus on our projects and not waste alot of time looking for lunch. Not only that we have picnic benches under a sunshade so we can enjoy our lunches and each others company. Then there is the snack and soda and drinks ice chests that we can graze at during the day. The Chama shop guys love that too!

I was talking to Ed Lowrance (Friends co-chair with John Engs for projects) and asked him what he has planned to top what got done this summer. With multi-year projects like the 463, Antonito car shelter, RPO 054 finishing up this summer, that will be a tall order. :-)

For those of us that haven't been around here for long, are there any before shots of this car? I'm always amazed at what these restorations involve, from something usually you wouldn't think could be used, to an amazing almost new restoration.

Larry, The Friend's web sight has a list of work session starting in 2004 through 2010. Around 2008 the RPO was in the south yard when the rebuild began, several hours of interesting pictures. Fred L. Kuhns
