Over in Antonito there's work being done on the tank cars. This session is draft gear. It's expected to take another couple years before the tank car team has them ready for freight charters.

The new car shelter in action. A thunderstorm with hail drifted down from the Conejos river valley. OB and historic passenger car 256 are nice and dry :smiley24:

Passenger car 256 has this attached at the end. I found it interesting. So who says there's no historic passenger cars on the C&T?? ;-)

A peek inside passenger car 256. The exterior looks a lot better. I think there's a little work to be done before it returns to service

WOW! Coach 256 looks like it will be alot of work. But with the top class job the friends do with their restorations, I'm sure that 256 will look brand new once restored!
Enjoy

I bet the volunteers in Chama wish they had this nice shelter to work under - raining here in Pagosa Springs and Chama - I understand Don stewart and team were in Antonito working on display Locomotive 495 - Bob Ross says it looks great - it should be lettered in Session G.

Nice work everyone.

Sept. 30 - Oct. 4. Maybe it will quit raining by then....

Session G will be entirely in Antonito with a nice assortment of "clean up" projects - we have decided the Car shelter will look better with ends - it needs some electrical - lines - stock car 5995 will continue receiving TLC, Passenger truck work, Stencil another display locomotive and perhaps even painting some on 053 - depending on the number of volunteers and the talents they bring to the party! Fall in Antonito ought to be lovely. Come on down!
