The snow shed team has the header in place. Here's a shot of the replacement header. Notice how high up that huge beam is sitting. Very impressive work!

Work on the top of the shed and a darn nice view of the section house, outbuildings and the car inspector house.

Tom Hindman is placing tin over the other timbers to prevent future rot.

The view from the top of the snow shed is great. The new pavilion is behind the snow shed.

I'd really like to thank John Cole and the snowshed team for these awesome photos!

Doing this kind of work at 10,000 feet really kicks us old guys butts. This is one GREAT crew getting all of the repairs done! That header is about 18' long, weighs about 700 lbs, and is about 20' up in the air. We even helped Dave Ferro replace the roofing on two roofs on the carman's house out buildings, and replaced the torn off roof on the coal bunker by the section house. I would work with these guys anywhere.
