Something very interesting happened just now. As 484 is warming up, another locomotive briefly came out of the east stall and went back in under its own steam. I think we have only seen this happen a couple of times before, wonder why they did it?

Unfortunately the cameras went down as soon as 484 was pulling that locomotive from the east stall out. However, on the depot cam you can just make out 463's tender poking out from the house, so it is possible that 463 was the locomotive we saw earlier.

Thankfully, they weren't out for long, and we now have confirmation that the locomotive in the east stall was indeed 463. Presumably they are taking it to have its tender pulled.

Once this was done, 484 spotted 463's tender near the coal dock, possibly to unload the remaining coal.

Apart from moving 488's tender a bit further forward, it seems to be the end of the day for 484 already. I have started wondering though: where is 489?

Seems like the day's activity hasn't finished yet. 484 has spotted a locomotive in front of the east stall (this must be 489) and is now sitting in front of the roundhouse. 489's tender has also been moved to behind 488's.

Now 484 is moving a loco we haven't seen in a long time - 487.

487 was then put inside the west stall - the new valve liners have most likely been delivered so we should be seeing plenty of action from her next season.
