Here we go...
Its 9 degrees in Chama so you know they would rather do it inside the house where it is probably 45 degrees with the heaters going and once 487 starts throwing off heat it probably will get nice and warm in there.

I am wondering if the plan is to load the passengers with the cars pulled forward from the depot?

A beautiful scene with a steaming loco outside at 2:36 local time. Looks like the "Snowman" won't be appearing this year.

After Alan got us started, Larry and Sharon did a great job catching the color and spirit of the Chama yards, this day before the Christmas train. The color you caught in the Cumbres view toward the highway track crossing reflects many of the same tones and hues I found looking south toward Chama, from the same camera pole. If you compare the times of the shots, you'll notice that they were taken only 24 hours and a few seconds apart.

Ho, Ho, Ho, maybe you can find me hidden in the shadows of the North exit from the yard.
Merry Christmas !
