10/1/17 Sunday and busy day - double headed 216

Morning preparations with the Goose making 2 round trips to Cumbres, the first leaves at 8:30 and the second at 4:30, the regular trains and beginning of the final Engineer/Fireman's school of the year: Looks like we have a double header again.

I see smoke rising from the Goose. At 35 degrees, I am sure they have fired up the heater in the back.

Departure of the Goose 5 as well as morning preparations continued:

489 has been parked on the south yard lead, Goose 5 is departing and 487 is backing down toward the coal dock

Departure of train 216: 487 helper to Cumbres Pass, 489 road locomotive to Antonito and 9 cars
There has been a lot of whistle blowing and I see several people bending down under what I think is the 4th coach, or second regular one. The 487 pulled slightly away from the 489 and people are in between them.
Finally we have departure at 10:11.

Next up for this busy day is the return of the Goose 5 from its morning run to the pass. If like the last time it was in Chama this season, it will not head down until 216 clears. Also 487 will be coming back to get ready for the students.
