Departure of train 216: 488 and 7 cars

Shorty after 216 cleared Chama, the 15 was shut down.

What was going on up at Cumbres?

That was the charter freight yesterday. If you just saw it, the cams have been acting weird lately. I have stills and video posted yesterday.

The train seems to not only leave behind schedule, but also stops at the water tower. I wonder why it left late.

Ryan, after initial review of the recording, they added an additional coach right at 1000, once added the passengers would have to be loaded. Now, to me, the 30+ minutes delay after adding it was strange unless the people were no yet at the depot. Further noted 15 was started up then shut down. This could have been no more then checking it out prior to the end of the season when it is needed. Also seems that the entire CDoT camera system is off line at this point. Guess they are trying to fix the weirdness. This is based on attempting to access it via their website.

Arrival of train 215: 489 and 9 cars Close to 30 minutes late at this point. Since 216 left just over 30 minutes late, both trains arrived in Osier at about the same time not the 30 minutes apart they usually do. Must have been a madhouse trying to get the passengers off both trains through the line at the same time.
