Morning preparations: Post arrival switching yesterday resulted in the crew removing the 3 extra coaches so there are 7 cars sitting at the depot currently.

I haven't seen the locomotives taking sand at the sand tower for sometime. They were using it in the evening on their way back to the house. Does anyone know if they are still using the tower at some other time?

The 463 just got serviced including coal and is now sitting on the south yard lead.

I have also seen Ed walking around the train and yard this morning. The last Engineer/Fireman's school starts next Sunday, so don't know what is going to happen. Thought, is it the time of year for the charter done by a cattle company? Yep, this is it. Watching people load food and all are dressed in a 'western' theme. So rent the train and BOYF & B. So, in addition to the speeders and Goose coming in later, we have a freight going and coming. Busy Sunday indeed.

The speeders are coming in now. 487 is in south yard and seems to have coupled to the 2 remaining coaches in Chama.

Thanks for all of the extra work you did today Sharon. Does anyone know if the freight is coming back to Chama today? The dispatcher must have his hands full today with all of the extra traffic on the line.

This is a yearly charter and they usually get back to Chama after dark. I will probably wait until tomorrow to finish up.
