Now that I know that the train has 10 cars, he wasn't crossing 17 he was stopped with his arse hanging out on the road.

Based on the time stamp, 215 probably will not be in Chama until around 4:30 pm MDT. Delay most likely due to their meet with the student train at probably Toltec siding. Though a second possibility would be the student train went into the balloon track once they were done at Osier.
