Early this afternoon, Chama time, the 487 came over to the sand tower and sat awhile. I could hear the air compressor working, so would guess that they were sending sand up to the separator/storage vessel since it did not take on sand itself. Nice to see a routine being established on using the new, working sand tower.

In my review of the video, 487 went into south yard and sat for a brief time, then came back to the house without doing any switching. Would guess that the 487 will be the student locomotive starting tomorrow.
