As the student train is passing the tipple, 488 has snuggled up behind the 463.

Coal dust rolls out of 487's tender at 7:13 MDT.

Unless #484 is rolled out of the shop in Antonito, it means that all available motive power is on the road this morning (not counting the diesels, of course)!

Not back home yet. So did 216 go out as double header, otherwise 463 should be available in Chama.

Looks like #488 (helper) and #463 (road engine) will be going out with 9 cars.

So, with the school freight, going to be a busy time for me processing everything. Last time we had no working locomotives in Chama was the last student school if I remember correctly.

Well Frank, it is good to hear from you. That must have been one great 3 weeks of riding the train.

Got the student train at the summit. We can also see the railroad's buses headed out to Chama and Antonito. I don't know why, but the drivers like to park up here while waiting for time.
