Does anyone know when 488 will be finished?

Shortly after it's almost finished ...

I don't have any specifics, but, it's going together, and going well (I ask once a week). If not ready for opening day, and with no other major crisis, soon thereafter. Things are getting a little tense in the engine house, and, I think they're one guy short, but, no major problems so far.

Have not seen the flat car out lately so wonder if all the parts are off it?

The flatcar was out yesterday, and seemed to have a fair amount of stuff on it. It's the first time I've seen it this winter, so I can't judge if it was a lot, or a little.

I believe that there no engines requiring a "1472" in the near future.

That is correct - I was told the same thing. It will be several years

Back from Durango, hot off the press.

The wheel press, that is, the #3 driver set, which I previously reported being off the 487, is actually the last big piece of the 488.
