07-06-16 Sunshine for a Wednesday

The sun is up, steam is rising, morning calm is here, soon to be broken by one of our locomotives heading up hill for another days run.

489 has been pulled back outside of the East shop door. Hard to tell in the lighting, but I think I am seeing steam start to come from her as well.

I agree with you Larry, I am sure I see steam and smoke behind the 484.

484 looks to be the locomotive of the day, at the ash pit for her morning cleanout.

Passing the tipple on her way to the coal dock, we see 484 is still flying the American flags from the holiday.

216 Heads out just about on time, looks like a pretty good load of passengers for a mid week day.

Not long after 216 left, #489 came to the ash pit and went for water, then back to sit outside the shop again. Perhaps not going to head anywhere today.

The speeder that was brought in yesterday afternoon on a trailer has been sitting over the ash pit for about an hour and I have seen people crawling under it. Too go with that, I just saw a person come out from under the pit, so they must by using it as a way to get to the underside of the speeder.

We just had a little locomotive shuffle going on and the end result is 489 is closest to the east stall door and 487 is in front.

Here's today's 216 departure -- thought I'd give it a bit of the old look!

And here's 215

484 took one coach off so looks like tomorrow will be a 7 car train again. Cams have been down since about 5pm local, hopefully just a power issue or something simple -- will be looked into tomorrow if needed.
