488 is getting ready and looks like only 8 cars so probably no double header. If you look closely in the grab, you can still see residual steam on the right in the trees.

Correction, I miscounted and there are 9 cars on the main and 487 just came to the ash pit. Now we wait to see what happens.

The 9th coach just got moved to south yard so back to 8. Looks like double headed is not likely.

Well 489 has come out to the ash pit. 487 has gone into north yard and backed down to that cut of cars that have been sitting there. Interesting morning so far, oh and 488 is coupled to 216. Well 487 came back out of the north yard and then backed down the engine house lead. He must have gone into the swamp because 489 just pulled forward to the tank. He went down one of the tracks which goes toward the house, I can see smoke and hear him. 487 is out and he retrieved a flat with a wheel set on it. He left it on the connector track by the round house. With this I am away for a while.

Back home looking in today. Looks like a nice sized group riding today. Colors have developed in the yard now.
Marking time until the next trip!! We had a blast out there!

Right now they seem to be working where they were yesterday.

As Sharon noted above 487 went to the swamp to get the flat with the wheel set.

Looks like they are unloading something from the box cars they moved the other day, and putting it on the flat. Short video - can't really tell what it is.

Cumbres cam seems to be out. Can't access it even through the Colorado site.

That's odd. Definitely working for me. The image has updated since my last post.

Have you tried refreshing the page and/or clearing your internet cache (temp files)?

Cumbres working here - as you can see by the time it's the latest capture, off by the hour as we know it has been. I've not seen it down all day, though I haven't been checking regularly. Not sure what the issue is for you. And as I posted that and checked again it also updated for me.

One other thing I've tried in the past when I don't get a picture is to right click over where the image should be and then view image -- sometimes shows then. As Jason said you may just need to clear your temp files as well.

The Cumbres cams are still not populating even though I shut Edge down and refreshed and whatever. I have had this happen before so will just wait, it has always come back after time.

I had a similar experience a while back. I'm using Firefox and I keep "tabs" of my favorite pages "pinned" in place. Nothing I did could get those cams to refresh as they should. So, in desperation I deleted the "pinned tab" and recreated it.

VOILA!

Has anyone else noticed that the switch stand from the mainline to the house/coaling track has been moved from the right side of the track to the left? They no longer have to cross in from of the engine to throw the switch when going for coal in the morning. I don't remember seeing a switch target at the lower right corner between the sand tower legs before either. Is that what some of this track work has been about? Maybe someones mentioned it and I just missed the post.

They were working on that switch stand last week so that must have been when they moved it. Larry G has pictures of this work here viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3062

Looks like setup for 10 cars tomorrow, so double header likely. 215 came in with 9 cars, they added two more, but are putting the one behind the locomotive back to the South yard. Should be a busy weekend for the railroad this weekend!

There was a terrific wind storm last Friday night that pulled many of the aspens leaves but fortunately no rain to speak of since. Looks like a great ride again this week for the color seekers.

Bill, I had not noticed. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Bill thank you for noticing and pointing this out. While I had been well aware of the switch work going on around the yard, I don't think anyone had noticed the changes you pointed out. Good eyes!
