10/2/15 Cool, partily cloudy and a train ride

484 has the call to take 216 east today. After all the problems with 216 yesterday hope that they have sorted out where the brake issues were.

When Pete posted at the end of yesterday's thread that he felt it would have been a problem with a coach rather than the locomotive -- he was correct!!! Problem has been fixed, it was the 3rd coach behind the locomotive. Info found out by Larry G this morning.

It was somewhat of a guess on my part. The initial halts could have been due to cars or the engine acting up. When they switched engines and 463 had the problem also I settled on the coaches. Odds of two air pumps going bad is pretty slim. Also, at Six Flags we have had a similar problem with a coach and of course it always locks up at an inopportune time. I have great sympathy for the crews.

Since Goose 5 went east on Wednesday have not seen it in Chama.

They've been in Antonito, expected back today after 3.

I saw something low and white on the cam about 15 minutes ahead of 215, maybe the Goose?

As it was headed by the deport cam on the way out to the wye, it looked like some of the passengers elected to remain on for the spinning.

10-02-15 Train 216 Departs. Note Mr. Gibson in the S cam and running to chase after the train passes. Also the red Jeep following the train in the North Cam.
