Sorry, I do no know how to do pics - but the 487 pulled the 463 (cold) to the water tank around 6:45 this morning. Both filled up.
John
PS - I waited for somebody else to say and post something and sure enough when I closed this Larry had it - I need to learn to be more patient - lol

No worries John - I deleted that and will add in here to keep from duplication. Rather have extra posts than none at all, we can always straighten out the threads later as needed. Takes me a little longer to get the videos uploaded to my site and then wait until they process before I post, but again please feel free to post things as you see fit -- it benefits us all!!!

Early start this morning, perhaps we'll see 463 hot again today. 487 pulls 463 down to the water tank for a drink.

As the 216 passengers gather at the depot some switching activities are going on before departure.

I just got home and do not know what has gone on in the last hour or so, but 487 is back coupled to the freight with all the stock cars. 463 is over in front of the left engine house door and is hot.

Sharon,
I checked in over an hour ago and this is what I saw, too. I thought we might see more switching - perhaps this afternoon?

I am watching some guy climbing under and around the 4th stock car. Can't figure what he is doing and there are also a number of people around the engine.

Well after all that, 487 is now back at the engine house. That train never moved so have no clue as the what was going on.

Reviewing video from the morning it looks like 489 was hooked up to that stock car freight for a while this morning, before getting back over on the main and readying 216. One of the mysteries we may never know the answer to!

Do they use Alamite guns to lub the locomotives for I am hearing something right now that sounds like one working.

Yesterday afternoon the car knockers were going over the stock cars, hammer in hand. I suspect today they were testing the brake system with train air.

That would explain the guy climbing under the cars.

484 turned 215 then came back and headed right past the depot - backed to the South yard and picked up a caboose which is now on the end of the train for tomorrow's 216. After that several switching moves with the stock car train - end game of that was to take out that car they were working on earlier today, that is now at the very end of cars on that track. All videos uploading to be posted shortly.

Just seen 3 deer heading over to the bunk house now! Guess they're going to crash for the night.

I imagine they want to avoid problems with the brake rigging like we had on the last day of the school train. It was a great learning experience for the students but I'd imagine the people on the charter wouldn't be interested in what it takes to fix the rigging.
