489 makes some nice smoke as it pulls an 8 car train 216 out of Chama.

It looks like he 216 arrived at Cumbres a little later than usual. Remember, the clock is on Standard Time and should read 11:52:12.

463 is at the coal dock so makes me wonder if it is going to take a shortened train up for Sunset Saturday.

I grabbed that one, too, just in case none of the others did. That was a special one.

Thanks for catching and posting this, Sharon.

Looks like the Saturday night dinner train to Cumbres is getting ready with 463. Tonight a train robbery is part of the entertainment.

484 goes to ashpit while 463 awaits to pull the Sunset Train out.

Videos of the day.
07-18-15 Train 216 Departure with #489 leading. The slightly late departure must have allowed for tickets to be punched, as they were letting folks into the open gondola early today.

After 215 returned, #489 cut off a couple of cars from the consist, and #463 takes over for the sunset dinner train departure. Looks like finally good enough weather for a sunset on this train! Perhaps some of those with the engineer/fireman school may have been watching 463 - new school starts tomorrow.

07-18-15 Dinner train departs with a stop for a drink -- perhaps that side of the tank has the alcoholic beverages for dinner!

463 has returned with the Sunset Train and heads for servicing around 9:30 local time. After a lengthy stop at the ashpit 463 goes down to the tank before heading to shop at 10:00.
