Smoke from engine house

Unread postby Allan Kirkpatrick » Thu Jul 16, 2015 7:06 am

About 8:00mst, I noticed what looks like smoke from the engine house.
Since it appears to be 2 locos outside and 1 on the road, is it possible they have #487(?) fired up?
It is more easily seen form the station camera.

I hope it is '87 but I doubt it. I think that smoke is coming from the right engine bay and '87 is in the left.

Allan 489 was brought inside earlier this morning, that's the smoke you've been seeing from the engine house. 463 still in front, looks cold again, 488 is taking the train out today - 484 should be coming from Antonito. Still no signs of 487, perhaps we'll hear something from today's commission meeting as to the status.

It does get hard to keep track of where these locos are!
