Thought it would be done by now. What's the status?

Greg, it is still at high levels at the National Park Service and awaiting to get shuffled over to the Secretary for his signature. That's what we know right now.

Here it is October 2nd and we still do not have an idea of when the NHL nomination might be signed. We believe it is still at high levels at the National Park Service and awaiting Secretary Salazar to sign. When we receive some news we will pass it along.

The designation has been signed! I saw the Brass Plaques in the Commission office Friday 11-2 They are pretty handsome. Keith Hayes made the same presentation he gave to the Committee at the recent BOD meeting - it was most interesting - he is responsible for a tremendous job well done. He was presented with the General Palmer award in recognition of his work. Many others contributed to the process - however Keith lead the charge!
