Will there be an effort to complete the roof this summer/winter on the CSF? Would the Friends consider paying a professional to complete it? It would be great to get some of the historic cars covered ASAP!

Craig, unfortunately we did not have any team leaders fro "E" or "F" so we will have to resume work next May in sessions "A" and "B." The railroad is in the process of spreading the remainder of the ballast on the 3 tracks in the shelter. Thanks for the question.

The Project Committee hopes to have teams working on the Car Shelter during all 6 sessions 2013. We have a Team Leader now for session A & B. Working to secure more at this time. October 31st, saw the RR's regulator and tamper make several runs down track 1 & 2 in the shelter - which provides a huge level of assistance. All 3 tracks have been ballasted.
We probably will not have the funds necessary to hire crews to install the roofing.

Ed.

The projects committee brought to the attention of the commission the need for a fire protection system for the car storage facility. Does the city of have the necessary water supply? The funds necessary for the project should be approved on condition of necessary water supply. The idea of additional wind protection is a project that should be funded and completed along with the necessary landscaping. Fred L. Kuhns

Are there any plans to cover both sides of the CSF or just the one side?
