Sunday, October 29, 2017 was another Hand on the Throttle Day at the Steam Railroad Insitute in Owosso, MI. Participants get a familiarization from the engineer and 1/2 hour to move about the yard. It's a great fundraiser for the SRI along with a fantastic experience for those who enjoy steam. Attached are a few photos and a link to my folder from yesterday. Hope you enjoy my 1225 Berkshire outing. It was a BLAST!!!

Nope, not this time. I'm in the seat behind this trip enjoying the lesson taught by a master in steam railroading, John Barnett. A second treat being in his "classroom."

Jason, John Barnett works with the NS Corp. as a mechanic, but always comes up to Michigan from his So. Carolina home, to help run P. M. 1225 many times, including trips all the way to Cadillac, MI. I love Larry's photos of PM 1225, especially inside the cab and viewing all the controls. Brings back memories for me personally and there's nothing like a "refresher course" in viewing them!
