Silverton Northern/SJCHS lay track!

Unread postby Larry Gibson » Thu Oct 15, 2015 9:39 am

Call your attention to this photo from 10/15/15 Silverton Standard. Progress continues on the Silverton Northern Project. For continued updates and support of the historical society consider a subscription to this neat award winning paper. WELL WORTH the rate! Available online or hard copy via USPS. Several other RR pics and articles in this edition too. Nothing better than a paper with your coffee. Larry

Also in the Historical Section this week a picture of the old Silverton Northern near the new track. A comparison so to speak. Paper does a weekly historical section often featuring RRs. Another reason for a subscription!!

Whoa... had no idea they were that far along. Man, I wish I lived up there. Would be pretty neat to lend a hand building a narrow gauge railroad north from Silverton. No one alive today can claim to have done that save those that are doing so now.
