Last week I had to be in Farmington for work. Naturally, I went up to Durango the weekend before to get a much-needed infusion of coal smoke.
I tried to get some new angles and locations this time. Some worked. Some didn't.
At one point on the trip, I was working on the Jicarilla Apache Reservation only an hour from Chama. It was like torture to be so close and not be able to pop in. But, I'm grateful I got to spend some time around the D&S.

Worked fine for me as I enjoyed a vicarious trip along the Animas(s?). There for a moment I thought I was hearing 487. :)

Good ears. You were hearing 487 and 488 at Cascade Trestle. They were around the corner giving that righteous echo effect. I really like that clip, just wish I'd had a wind filter.
