Wye

Unread postby Charles Moore » Mon Jun 27, 2016 2:39 pm

The Forum has covered the extension of the Wye. It apparently happened quite some time ago. Why does it fail to show up on the aerial views of Google, Bing and Yahoo maps? Any ideas? Are the aerial views that old?

Charles, it's been less than 2 years and Chama is well off the beaten path. I suspect that Google gives it a very low priority in relation to more urban areas. The latest imagery in Google Earth for Chama shows a date of 2013.

Thanks. I didn't realize they were that out of date.

When we painted the roof on our Florida house it showed up in a couple of weeks.

At the bottom of the screen, right of center, there should be an "image date".

It is now on Google earth. They have down loaded a new image that shows the Wye in the past week or so.
