Stair Construction Car 0252/470 Continued

This is a continuation from the first posting on Stair Construction Car 0252/470.

Finally the assembly starts with steps fitted to the rails and glued, the 5/16” threaded rods are inserted and washer with nut attached to each rod end; the toe boards are fitted, glued and slide into place. The final step is securing the nuts on the rods to tighten the assembly.

Looking at the underside of the bottom step you see the two support rods traverse the lower step securing the step between the risers.

From the side view you can see the support rods as they terminate to the outside of the riser. Note the rounded nose on each step.
