Cresco viewing

After we hacked at the thick brush around the booth below the Coxo highway cross (see separate post on that work) the Wednesday morning of D work session, the Friends tree and brush crew made its way to Cresco to clear growth too close to the tracks and trains and to fell hazard trees. We were done and away from the immediate work area when it was choo-choo time but we got a good look at the passing train from the gate on the private road leading downhill from SR 17. Aspens grow like weeks but I'm glad to note that there's still a decent view of the tracks (and train) through the view hole that the crew (re)created three years ago at the RR's request by clearing an aspen grove in the depression and adjacent slope next to the near corner of the road crossing.
