Clearing brush at booth below Coxo

The Friends tree and brush crew last week cleared much of the thick brush in front of and around the sides and back comms booth near MP 333. Don Atkinson of the Friends Projects Committee requested the clearing for visibility and access. I hope the improved access enables the Friends to do rehab work on the booth's roof, which is in poor shape. I've noticed a few booths in that condition along the line in the last couple of years, which is sad to see. The booth east of Apache Crossing also comes to mind. Regarding the photo, I shot it as we began attacking the brush. By the time we left, the brush to the right of the crew member on the left was part of a big pile on the other side of the tracks for later pickup by a work train. We did all the cutting that we could in the hour or so we had available. We can do more about 51 weeks from now.
