The Friends milepost and sign crew is requesting help nailing down the date of an historical photo provided by Tom Smith and taken by his father, James A. Smith. Tom thinks the photo showing a faded mileage sign on the west end of Cascade Trestle was taken in 1979 or 1980 but isn't sure. I'm posting the photo of the trestle, a cropped closeup of the faded sign and two other photos taken on the same C&TS ride. Does anybody spot anything in the photos that'd date the trip and the sign?

Update: I also posted this query on the NGDF and received helpful input that dates the photos to 1980.
