Jason Rose, The picture of the stock pen recalls the time spent repairing the fences, gates, and the chute. The chute is moveable back and forward to the railcar, the present of any chute on the ground was not evident in any knowned pictures. The need for a fence to the east side of chute would make it a lot eaiser to load stock. The pens were rebuilt to what was in place in 2005, Sheep pen on Chama side and cattle pen on Antonito side. The fences were rebuilt , new center fence, new fence on west side of sheep pen, new fence on back side of cattle pen, and all remaining fences the bad railing replaced and all post straight. The gates, (three) where all rebuilt with new wood with the reuse of all metal hardware. All work was completed in three years under the leadership of Ted Norcross, the work force supplied by the SN gang.
