Rode Motor #5 to Osier and got rare mileage as we stayed on while they backed it around the loop to prepare for return to Antonito.

Nice shot, Tom.

Michele and I rode Motor 5 from Cumbres to Big Horn and back in 2010. On the return we stopped at Osier for a head call. I was amazed at how quiet and peaceful the place was without a train load (or two) of passengers. The contrast was striking.

Jason, I parked the 4-runner behind it for our walk out to Rock Tunnel and it was vey quite on the hike and there after the trains had gone. We made a supper stop there back in 86 on the Throwbridge photo freight. Just the right amt of ambiance, one freight train and us!
