Work Session B - First Photos

Unread postby Ted Smith » Mon May 28, 2012 6:21 pm

We have registered 36 volunteers for Session B; 29 of those are working in Antonito and 7 in Chama on a wide variety of projects, including yard landscaping in Chama and Antonito; freight car and rolling stock lettering in Antonito (the display train at the Antonito Rail Yard entrance); Cook Car 053 restoration (roof and siding); restoration of RPO X54 as RPO 54 (interior finish & brake system) in Chama; Antonito yard floodlights; restoration of Stock Car #5995; pole barn truss fabrication (Antonito); and repair of the station loading dock in Chama. Continuing support teams include food preparation, registration and merchandise sales, reporting & documentation, chronicling, tool car operation and paint and painting supplies.

The winds have been high, the temperatures low! Weather was much better this afternoon, and hopefully will remain so during the next four days, especially for the paint and lettering work!
