Minor washout

Doesn't look like a train has been back this far in quite a while

End of the tail. It's almost long enough to be considered the Big Horn Branch.
Note the "End of Track" sign on the right

Another washout

It would be great to clean up the Wye as a friends work project. Fix the ties, pull out the growth between the rails and put some light ballast on it! Fun to dream!

Sign me up! Spending a week out there would be incredible.

Maybe the work party could camp there and have food brought on the train from Osier.

Paul: Is that big tree still in the middle of the track?

Craig,
I bet that tree is still there. There is some very legible black paint on the letters of one of the two "end of track" signs at and very near the wye's end, but I didn't see any signs of recent of any kind out there. The roadbed is in decent shape near the legs of the wye but it'd take a fair amount of work to make the whole thing usable. I walked out there to take stock of things while waiting for a couple of other members of the C sign crew to hike back to the vehicles from a work site in the vicinity. IIRC,my half of the crew had maintained the signs in the other direction and we were done first.

Jason,
So little had changed since you took your photos that I paused before proceeding with posting my updates. Cheers.

True, but isn't that one of the best things about the railroad?
