With an award winning restoration program, and being recognized by the White House as a Preserve America Steward the Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, Inc. announce the opening of registration for the 2013 work sessions. Now is your opportunity to sign-up and participate as a volunteer. Like so many before you achieve the satisfaction of a job well done and the enjoyment of participating in a worthwhile effort on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. Be a member of a dedicated group of individuals that come back year after year to take this special challenge. The work sessions are a week long, if a week is too long then come for 3-Days. This year in particular, there are a number of different projects offered that will appeal to just about everyone’s desires. Projects will be available at both ends of the railroad throughout the sessions. New for this year, a fall project has been added in Antonito. Now there are 7 sessions to choose from. When you volunteer you will find yourself involved with a very elite and enthusiastic group of people, and guess what…you will have fun too. To be a part of this elite group and participate in restoration work you must be a Friends member. Become a member today by contacting the Friends office in Albuquerque 505-880-1311 or go on the web at http://www.cumbrestoltec.org and select “join on-line now” from the pull-down menu.
