463 move to Antonito

The 463 project began moving to Antonito earlier this week for the final phases of it's rebuilding program.
The last part of the move should be completed today 3/30/12. We will post as many of the details as we can later.

The boiler/frame and tender were loaded on the trucks Friday 3/30; But transport to Antonito was delayed until(Saturday). Setting the frame on the drivers should be done on Saturday after they arrived. Roger Hogan was on sight so I'm hoping that we can expect photos eventually.

The fact the the 463 is now in the final assembly phase is exciting.

463 is on its drivers in Antonito. Roger told me they got it set all the way down late afternoon, close to sunset.
Here is a photo mid-afternoon, waiting for the spreaders, etc, to be rigged. (Cables are NOT attached to the smokebox, just the camera angle.)

Steve and Roger..thanks for the pics. Glad to see the 463 in Antonito. Some final assembly yet and then some ballast train break-in work leading up to the charter on May 15th. Marty Knox and the crew in Monte Vista deserve a great deal of credit. Thank you for all your hard work!
