AHR terminates Agrrement with C&TSRR

Unread postby Bryan Smith » Mon Sep 10, 2012 12:59 pm

I just read on Trains Magazine Website that the agreement with AHR is to be terminated. They will be done in 6 months.

Al Harper notes, "We must be given the responsibility and authority to do things without constant second guessing and micro-management of an authority or commission. The governmental and political realities of the C&TSR do not lend themselves well for my company to be successful at that railroad."

Due to Economic Cutbacks, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off!

Thanks Bryan for posting the letter. I found out about this as I was heading out on vacation on August 30th. There is a Commission Meeting on September 20th and certainly there will be discussion about the path forward. This news did come as a surprise to many. The Commission must now move ahead and chart a course for the future. As things develop we will keep you all informed.
