D&RGW Caboose 0582

Unread postby Jason Rose » Mon Oct 20, 2014 11:52 am

Friend's member Don Borden sent me the following email and asked me to post it here. Any help in figuring out this mystery would be greatly appreciated.

----

I have a friend that bought this caboose in Washington State and I'm trying to find out information about it. I have looked through my books and can find no caboose with this number. My friend said that the guy he bought it from said it was an unknown survivor. I'm pretty sure this is the correct number as there appears to be the original numbers on the cupola. I'm wondering if this caboose might have been shipped to Alaska during WW11 and somehow ended up in Washington?

I'm not sure who to contact that could help solve this mystery.

Thanks, Don Borden
