C&TSRR - Colors 09-28-14

Unread postby Roger Hogan » Mon Sep 29, 2014 7:05 am

I rode from Antonito to Osier and back to Antonito yesterday and the colors are beautiful. It was overcast and on and off rain most of the day. I did not have a camera with me so I decided to try my cell phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S 5 Active phone.

Roger, Good stuff!!
I can't get over the IQ (and the depth of field) of todays cell phone cameras.
those are damn fine photos especially if you consider the light..

Nice shots Roger!

It is amazing what phones can do these days, sometimes I almost want to toss out all the photo gear I have and just go with the phone and not have anything to lug around.

Very nice photos.

I am using a Samsung note3. I've been using it all summer to post work session photos. Using a smart phone avoids downloading photos to a computer and then uploading.

However auto correct while typing on a smart phone can be your worst enema.

Thank you to John Cole for catching my mistakes this summer.

I've been using a Samsung note3 and before that a note 2. If I position the phone sideways when taking photos, i can upload them on the Friend’s Forum from the gallery. The forum does not require resized or shrunken photos. I think all the Samsung ophones will work similar.

Other message boards require photos to be shrunk to 250k or lower. A big thank you to Jason for designing this board with out that requirement. So how simple is that? Aim the phone in the right orientation, take a pic and upload.
