Something Different (Sep 20)

Unread postby Jason Rose » Fri Oct 04, 2013 7:20 am

I was fortunate to be in Chama Sep 19-21. I was even more fortunate to have a portion of my family with me, including my brother who had never visited before. Having to do web camera maintenance and remain social with my family, there was almost no time to chase trains.

However, I did manage to sneak in about 30 minutes to "chase" from Cumbres to Coxo. What I didn't plan on was the excessive vehicle and road noise on Highway 17. So, with this being the ONLY footage I shot on this trip I was determined to make it work. The solution was simple: add music. I'm rather pleased with the results, so I'm sharing the video.

*Yes, I know that some of the camera work is questionable. I'm getting a better tripod soon.
**The music is by Bruce Broughton and from the movie "Tombstone."

Jason,
Nice job. The camera work and editing flowed nicely. And I liked how you had the music where it was needed but not where it wasn't, like at the Coxo crossing so we didn't miss the echo. Thanks.

Nicely done! Music fit well and editing was great. Better tripod is well worth it if you do enough video, for sure.
