When volunteering leads to a career!

Unread postby Bill Kepner » Wed May 06, 2020 6:46 pm

I am considering writing an article for the Dispatch about how volunteering for the Friends is a valuable experience to have on a resume, especially for someone just entering the workforce. For instance, maybe there was a younger volunteer that learned skills and gained confidence that made a difference in their schooling and later on helping them get an interesting job. Not particularly in the railroad industry, but maybe other disciplines like engineering or construction.

Hopefully, I can find several members out there so I can write an article on the experiences in general and not necessarily focus on a particular individual.

So if anyone knows of someone I can interview for the article, please send me an email at drgw0579@comcast.net.
