8/1/17 Its over - one last look at the C&TS
Posted: Fri Aug 18, 2017 1:43 pmOn the morning of my departure back to Virginia, I delayed long enough to see 488 take train 216 out of town one last time until next year.
- 488 has its train in hand as it passes the tipple
- Passing the water tank, my views of the C&TS are almost over
- 488 is approaching the north yard throat
- Under a smoke haze, the tourist and parlor cars are getting to round the curve out of sight
- One last glimpse as the parlor rounds the curve
