Larry Gibson 2016 C&TS Adventures - Day 3

The adventure will continue today. The plan is for a light day, with some relaxation - we should get some photos of the morning preparations for 216, then the plan is to be back in the yard this afternoon for the botany train arrival, then the arrival of 215. Botany train should be about an hour ahead of 216 if all goes to schedule.

Very short 18 second video of the morning sky from the porch of the Hotel and Shops. 47 degrees in Chama this morning! Quality on these little phone cam videos isn't great, but thought I'd post anyway.

I haven't heard from him since a good morning and the sunrise video, so not sure. I know today was to be a bit of down time, but last I knew he was going over to get the morning prep.

And now I see him in the red hat I think .

Someone wearing a red hat just followed 487 down to the tank.

487 at the water tank - filling the tender, and washing off the coal dust. I'll try to brighten some of these in lightroom later.

Tried to brighten up that last one, not too successful - without RAW files to work with lightroom has it's limitations.

Rather than the blue "Men at Work" sign, the Goose crew uses a blue lamp on the track. Removing the lamp before today's run.
