While doing my job first in the kitchen car then as a chronicler, I was able to grab shots of the trains departing Chama.
The 484 sits at Chama depot with train 216 waiting for 10 am.

On Wednesday, 7/27/16, we were treated to a double header of 9 cars. Here 489 is pulling the 2 extra coaches from south yard.
12 489 is coming out of south yard with 2 extra coaches for train 216 7-27-16.jpg

487 was the helper and here we see it and 489 getting this 9 car 216 moving.

Later in the week 487 is at the head of 216 ready to depart.
