Sharon's Uncommonly good Chama adventure 4

This is a continuation of the post from last evening and covers 215 from Sunday 7/24. We begin though with shots from Cumbres as 487 turns to return to Chama.
36 Helper 487 backs around the wye before returning to Chama.jpg

37 487's saftey pop is going off as it enters the snow shed on Cumbres.jpg

37 487 now moves forward into the other leg of the wye.jpg

39 K36 484 brings train 215 west out of the Los Pinos valley as it is nearing Cumbres Pass.jpg

41 Train 215 continues up the grade toward Cumbres Pass.jpg
42 484 comes across Colorado 17 as it makes the final assult on the summit.jpg

42  484 is almost to the top as it slows for the stop at Cumbres.jpg

43 The engine crew confur with conductor Ray over a little issues of the whistle linkage slipping loose.jpg

45 One of the train crew is looking at a water tank car coming back to Chama from Antonito.jpg

That car was brought back to Chama for the work session this week -- and is now located in the swamp.

Sharon another set of excellent pictures -- looking forward to the rest of the week!!

Just to add on here, the water car has now had a brand new paint job. Thanks to Joe Kanocz for the pictures. Bottom shot in that group.
