Sharon's Uncommonly good Chama adventure 3

The third day that I was in Chama, Sunday 7/24/16, I had the luck of chasing a double header up the hill with 487 as helper and 489 as road engine. This was a Cinder Bear train needing a 4th coach and it also was carrying a caboose. Again put your cursor over the picture to see the caption.

19 Both 487 and 489 have clean stacks as the train turns toward Labato.jpg

20 The locomotives turn toward Labato as the shortie caboose is being used to photograph the train.jpg

22 The fire patrol speeder comes by as it trails the train.jpg

21 After waving to the kids of all ages on the train he gets back into his ride.jpg

25 Train 216 is entering the S curves past 2d crossing.jpg
23 The 2 locomotives work hard up the 4% grade approaching Dalton.jpg

24 Train 216 passes the hunting lodge as it gets closer to Dalton.jpg

28 487 has a clean stack while 489 is pouring out the smoke.jpg

29 487 leads the train below Colorado 17 as it approaches 3d crossing.jpg

30 Train 216 rounds Windy Point as it nears the summit of Cumbres.jpg

31 The train is now stopped at Cumbres as the Cinder Bear kids unload.jpg

32 Cinder Bear waves to the road engineer on 489.jpg

35 489 blows for Colorado 17 as it departs Cumbres.jpg

Looking at these on my phone and they look spectacular! Looking forward to getting home and look on the PC.

I'll add that looking at them at home, they are very impressive photos. I hope you get some considered for a calendar in the future!

Again I say WOW. Great shots Sharon, it's hard to pick a favorite. I agree with Larry, these need to be in a calendar. Great stuff, keep it coming.
