The car inspector's house when we arrived Monday morning. The large pile of lumber in foreground was left over from the impressive efforts of the crew before us that re-sided the lower portion of the wall.

Thanks for all the great photos Vance, looks like you guys kicked butt with all the work accomplished. Cumbres Pass is one of my favorite spots on the railroad so I find it personally gratifying to see work done on the structures up there. With all the work done on the carman's house, and the section house shoring done after the work sessions LOTS of headway has been made preserving these buildings. Thanks!

Thank you posting the photos and or the commentary/insight.
That's an Incredible amount accomplished in a short time frame.
I wonder if we shouldn't start calling those who work on projects at Cumbres the "Top of the Hill gang".

When we were sandblasting tank cars we needed some scaffolding to get to the top of the tanks. Our site leader said "all available scaffolding is up on the hill with Bob Conroy's crew". Looks like you guys put it to good use. :smiley24:
