The first week of the 2014 Work Sessions is now concluded, resulting in progress on all assigned tasks. At least twenty of the Session A volunteers are so motivated they are remaining for Work Session B which begins on Monday!
Ed Lowrance’s photos have been a welcome reminder of the rewards of volunteering for the Friends as well as the valuable work that they do to improve the C&TSRR. He’ll hopefully provide more of the same for Work Session B!

- Russ Hanscom and John Weiss clean welds on subassemblies for the truck fabrication project.

- Documentation Team Leader Sharon McGee (center), photographs Valley Lowrance and Bruce Bloom who are priming the siding for the Osier Section House project.

- Antonito Work Session A was special as we welcomed Grant Bell (right) from Florida who helped machine metal for the trucks project. Mary and William Lowes are volunteers at Colorado Springs who decided to try Antonito on for size. We send a big "thank you" to these new volunteers! William has been moving from project to project as they finish, and Mary has been working lunch, inventory and even wielded a paintbrush! THANKS!

- On Wednesday evening, most Chama and Antonito volunteers traveled to the recreation hall at Mogote Meadows Campground for a burger barbecue with all the trimmings, and lots of good companionship Russ Hanscom, a man of many talents, took the role of "burger meister!"
