Narrow gauge cars disposition in Monte Vista CO.

While driving through Monte Vista, CO., I noticed some narrow gauge cars in a lot just off the highway. Does anyone have knowledge about these cars? Is it part of a museum? It wouldd be interesting to know more obout them.

Yes it is part of a museum. DON Shank is the driving force behind it. He/The museum owns the line to Almost Creede.

Tom,
Thank you for the additional info re the history, museum, and equipment. I sure hope they get all of the legal issues cleaned up and can focus on opening and operating the wagon wheel line. It certainly looks like a beautiful area to ride through.
