Picture Quality with Edge

Unread postby Ronald Lewis » Wed Oct 28, 2015 8:17 am

I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 and with it came the scaled down Microsoft "Edge" browser. I compared the quality of the cam pictures with my old browser and found that Edge improved the picture quality significantly. I wanted to share this with our fellow "Friends" to see if they can benefit the same way I have.

I had installed Win 10 on a laptop as well, wasn't happy with a few things it did so went back to Win 7 -- perhaps I'll have to try it again and check out the Edge quality.

Thanks for the info Ronald.

I had a hard drive failure a couple of weeks ago and as a result did a clean install of W10. It seems to have used less hard drive space than W7 but in use is also much like 7 with some frills and gee-gaws added. One of those frills is "Edge" and quite frankly it put me on edge and is no longer part of the package.

Just to add, Win 10 has a built in RAW viewer for photographs and also plays Dolby 5.1 video where Win 7 would not.
